Ah, kindness, what a simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in the world.

A.A. Malee, Poet, artist, author, and performer

How are you feeling this week? We’ve had a lot of lunar activity and those of you who are sensitives may be feeling it. Downloads of higher frequencies are also occurring so please notice how you feel and nurture yourself – be kind to yourself as a beautiful expression of self-love! Begin with yourself first before focusing on others. Build your inner reservoir of kindness and compassion so it’s not depleted before giving it to others. I know that this may seem counter intuitive for those of you who are consciously committed to helping others. Once your reservoir is depleted you know how exhausted you become so remember it’s not selfish to be kind to you first!

Many of you on this journey of awakening recognize the truth of why self-exploration, self-acceptance, self-love, and self-care are key to personal growth. It begins with each one of us first – a beautiful and wonderous inner journey where peace, understanding, and remembering begin. What about being happy? Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Buddhist monk, reminds us that, “The essence of loving kindness is being able to offer happiness. You can be the sunshine for another person. You can’t offer happiness until you have it yourself. So build a home inside by accepting yourself and learning to love and heal yourself.

Once again, be kind to yourself first. Be your own sunshine! What does yours look like? Mine looks like a huge sunflower with hummingbirds and butterflies all around. The more I accept and love myself, eliminating the negative self-talk, the more happy I feel! The more I feel compassion and kindness for myself and others. The choice I make everyday to be the best me I can be and to be more kind and compassionate is a conscious one. For some people there are many reasons to dive into the spiral of division, separation, hate, and negativity. It’s a choice, isn’t it? I know that’s not the reality for me. Some days it can feel challenging especially when things that don’t make sense to me are happening in the world. It’s then I have to remind myself that I don’t have to like the behavior and choices of others and I can choose to be different.

As I reflected on what to write about this week, I heard Tim McGraw’s song, Always Be Humble and Kind, playing in my mind. He’s an American singer, actor, guitarist, and record producer. Part of the lyrics tells us, “Don’t take for granted the love this life gives you. When you get where you’re going, don’t forget to turn back around and help the next one in line. Always stay humble and kind.” So, focusing on what being kind means to me really resonated. It can be small things. For example: listen to someone, smile, help the next one in line, check on a friend or someone living alone. You can do something for someone without expecting anything in return! There are limitless opportunities.

Our true nature is LOVE. Being kind to yourself and others is a simple way to express love in the world. And through your loving kindness comes happiness! How beautiful. What does being kind mean to you?

For those that would like personal support, together, we explore releasing resistance to being the best you can be which includes: old habits, behaviors, beliefs, past life influences, and the illusions of what you are not. It’s all about remembering who you are at your core and consciously choosing what you want your life to become! I’d LOVE to work with you. Any questions, please contact us.
